I am compelled to build. I am driven by the materials of construction and challenging these simple elements into unexpected forms. By juxtaposing them against each other they are given a voice. The permanence and tactile qualities of my materials allow me to entice my thoughts into a structure, and that structure to challenge the thoughts of others. To leave an impression that remains beyond me and my physical existence, like the hands of a child pressed into a freshly poured sidewalk.
