Edelweiss is a flower found in the Alps - the french name is 'Etoile de Neige' - Star of the Snow. I chose this motif for a client's blue bathroom, and made the mosaic in glazed ceramic shards. It measures 12" x 12" and is grouted in black.

This mosaic was commissioned for a bathroom in a chalet with stunning views over Mont Blanc in France. This is my first landscape piece and I included the large stones in the middle of the mosaic to break up the vista. The sky is grouted in dark grey and the mountains and foreground are grouted in light grey. Materials include vitreous glass and unglazed ceramic tile.

I accept commissions for mosaic work in and outside the home. I design and make the mosaics in workshops in Le Molliet, France and install them on site. In addition to making in-situ mosaics for the bathroom, shower, kitchen and garden, I create stand-alone pieces such as table tops, mirrors, frames, bowls and house name and number plaques. THESE CAN BE SHIPPED WORLD-WIDE. A variety of media is used in the mosaics; glass tesserae, ceramics, pebble, stone and metallics. Commissions are also considered for mosaics in public spaces - contact me for further information.
